It is not about how you look when you go back to school. It is about how you feel. I’m in classes all day on Mondays and Wednesdays, I don’t go to school thinking that I’m about to strut myself down a runway with photogs snapping photos of me left a right. But I go to school thinking I’ll be there all day, sitting in lecture halls, getting ink smudges on my hands as I transition from class to class and yawn from scribble as I struggle to get what my professor was saying. But I’m not saying don’t try. If you don’t feel good about yourself, there really is no room for COMPLETE success. Look good and feel good, but go to your closet being practical. No one wants to see someone slip and fall in their chem lab or struggle with their heels walking up the building’s million step staircase. So the tip is think about your day and your surroundings. School isn’t a runway, but their are hallways- so find a happy medium.

Geek is the new chic!
Don’t be ashamed of your glasses. Wear them with pride now. They add a look dynamic to your look and don’t try and hide the fact that they make you feel smart too. So put your second set of eyes on. Four is the NEW two!
Also, get your suspenders out! Your lowrise pants just got the boot out this fall. No one wanted to see your actual booty and fashion has heard it’s prayers. The suspenders will hold up your pants but also add a quirky feel to the outfit. Menswear, turned feminine turn ultra chic.

Turn your color on!
Do not be afraid of color. embrace it! Mix, match or don’t match at all. This season is all about knowing the art of blending without really trying. Enjoy it. Mix your greens with your fuschias, navy with your golds, anything goes- just know that moderation is key and that your blends should have strong bases. (This means having a neutral tone in your outfit somewhere- like a pant- to hold it all together)
